There are many reasons to get started in paddle tennis today, one of the current fashion sports, and already the second most practiced sport in Spain. But, what can be the reasons or recommendations that we propose, apart from "fashion"?

Do you want to do a physical activity and you are not very fit?

Paddle tennis is a sport that does not require you to be in an exceptional physical condition when you start out... logically, the more your level of paddle tennis advances, the more your physical condition should improve... you should evolve in parallel.

It is a team and social sport... it is played in pairs, 4 people are necessary to play a game... but, it can be played with family, with friends, mixed, with your children... The only recommendation to have a good time is that you all have a similar level.

If your level advances, you will be able to sign up for social tournaments, meet people, which will help you play with unknown people, socialize, and why not... do Networking.

What do we recommend to start padel?

Our main recommendation to get started in padel is that you do not equip yourself or buy all the latest generation material from the beginning as if you were a PRO or Professional player. The material helps, but it won't make you learn or progress faster.

Invest your money in:

  • A few initiation classes to teach you the basic strokes, not to take vices from other racket sports that will harm you in the long run. Your teacher will teach you to read the walls, where to position yourself and where and how to play the ball.
  • A good shoe to avoid possible injuries
  • The shovel? Start with an initiation padel racket, which should be round, with soft rubber and fiberglass…. The perfect model to adapt to this sport, which will provide you with everything you need for your game: control and ball output.

And the weight of the shovel? Depending on your physical constitution, height, weight and strength, look for a racket from 350grs to 375grs.

Once you have been playing for a reasonable time and have controlled the basic blows, you can now have a carbon blade, which will give you more power to your blows near the net, and gradually evolve from a round mold to a teardrop or diamond... but be careful... to be a pro it is not necessary to play with the most powerful and TOP racket on the market. The technique and class will be provided by you, Padelero!!!!
